RMEC13 will provide a forum for discussing the factors influencing the education of doctors practicing in rural and remote areas of Australia and overseas. The conference will explore how the educational needs of remotely-located doctors can be addressed depending upon location and cultural context, while considering the role that new technology plays in the delivery and enhancement of learning.
Activities over the two days include education workshops, discussion groups, paper presentations and CPD activities. A number of inspiring keynotes will explore the key themes, uncovering new developments, challenging thinking and inspiring debate.
The inaugural Remote Medical Education Conference, held in Sydney in 2012, attracted 130 delegates and this number is expected to rise to around 200 for RMEC13. The conference aims to be large enough to tackle the big topics, while retaining a casual and accessible atmosphere that promotes networking and the development of collaborative arrangements.
We hope to see you there.
